A fairy tale game based on the same work by the Brothers Grimm, Gretel and Hansel is a point-and-click adventure that’s simple and short, but still quite imaginative and fun to play.

When the famous house-eating children hear their parents scheming to get rid of them, they realize that they’ll have to outwit their dear old mom and dad to survive.

While Hansel isn’t the crunchiest chip in the bag (he tends to stand around eating flies), Gretel, armed with her trusty slingshot, must collect ten stones to lead them back out of the woods as their parents attempt to lose them for good. On their way, they encounter giant spiders, bees, and other forest beasts. Luckily, Gretel’s slingshot comes with an endless supply of ammunition.

Hand-painted illustrations make this game a visual treat, though it isn’t intended for children.
